16th edition of TSW: record scale, innovation and real business
The latest edition of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Fair once again confirmed its position as a leading event for professional fruit and vegetable producers in Central and Eastern Europe. The two-day event attracted 21,000 visitors from Poland and abroad (4,000 more than in the previous year). A total of 508 companies presented their offers, including nearly 100 international exhibitors, on an exhibition area of almost 4 hectares – the largest in the history of the event. Among the exhibitors were also companies from locations particularly exotic for the Polish industry, such as Congo, Senegal and New Zealand.
“Not only the number of visitors surprised us, but also the scale of interest from fruit and vegetable producers from abroad. Exhibitors rated very highly the professionalism of visitors and their readiness for business talks. Among the guests was also the Ambassador of New Zealand, who visited the stand of a company from his country and announced that during the next edition of TSW he would encourage more New Zealand enterprises to participate,” emphasizes Jacek Kłudka, Director of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Fair.
The exhibition stands were dominated by technologies addressing key production challenges: automation and robotics, cost-reduction solutions, precision fertilization and crop protection systems, as well as digital tools supporting farm management. New machines, prototypes, artificial intelligence–based technologies, and solutions for storage and post-harvest preparation were presented.
A strong pillar of the event were the industry conferences, covering, among others, orchard production, vegetable production, berry crops (currants and raspberries), strawberries, viticulture, and protected cultivation. Experts discussed current strategies for crop protection, fertilization, storage and logistics, as well as farm management under cost pressure and climate change. High attendance confirmed the growing demand among producers for specialized, practical knowledge.
An important part of the program was the resolution of the Prof. Szczepan A. Pieniążek Competition, recognizing innovations for horticulture. The awards were granted to:
- Andermatt Polska for the implementation of a crop management system based on plant signals using Vita biosensors by Vivent Biosignals, enabling continuous monitoring of plant condition and precise responses to environmental stress;
- Niva-Top for a harvester for leafy crops, significantly improving harvesting mechanization and reducing the need for manual labor;
- Max Crop for a working time recording and farm production management system supporting the planning and control of production processes.
- A distinction in the competition was also awarded to the new apple variety “Sander” (AJAPPLE Breeding Group), recognized for its high production potential and fruit quality.
Great interest was also generated by the Fruit Grower of the Year 2025 competition. The main title was awarded to Tomasz Piasecki from Palczew (Mazovia). The jury appreciated his high production efficiency, advanced protection and irrigation technologies, and consistent implementation of precision and sustainable farming principles. Distinctions were awarded to Arkadiusz Sołtysiak from the Grójec region and Ewa and Mieczysław Chabowski from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
Once again, strong interest from demanding participants focused on the Business Zone, which became a center for B2B meetings. It was there that experts held discussions on investments in new technological lines, farm modernization, and the implementation of precision horticulture solutions. Participants indicated the zone as one of the most important and promising areas of the event.
The latest edition of TSW demonstrated that the event remains an important platform for technology presentation, exchange of production experience, and direct business talks for the fruit and vegetable sector.
We already invite you to the 17th edition of TSW, which will take place in the new interiors of Targi Kielce in January 2027.
