Machinery Conference at TSW 2025: Modern Technologies in Horticulture
We are pleased to invite all enthusiasts of modern technological solutions in horticulture to the Machinery Conference, which will take place during the 15th edition of the Horticulture and Vegetable Fair (TSW) in Kielce. The event is scheduled for January 23, 2025 (the second day of the fair) and will focus on topics related to Horticulture 4.0 and 5.0 technologies, precision plant protection, and autonomous agricultural machinery.
Machinery Conference Program
The conference will begin with an introductory speech by the Chairman, followed by two thematic sessions:
SESSION 1: Remote Sensing and Precision Plant Protection Tools
Renowned experts will present modern tools for monitoring crop conditions and precision plant protection technologies. The speakers will include:
• Prof. Emilio Gil from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, who will discuss the possibilities of using satellite remote sensing and DSS systems in the precise dosing of plant protection products.
• Dr. Magdalena Szechyńska-Hebda from the Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków, will explain how advanced spectral and thermal remote sensing techniques can change plant protection strategies, improving production efficiency.
• Prof. Joanna Puławska from the Institute of Horticulture-NRI in Skierniewice, will present spectral remote sensing as a tool for detecting pathogens in orchards and greenhouses.
• Włodzimierz Piotrowski from BBLEAP will deliver a lecture on precisely sprayed crops using PWM technology.
• Dr. Janusz Krupanek from the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas will share knowledge about laser weed control.
SESSION 2: Robotics, Autonomy, and Electromobility
The second session will focus on the future of autonomous machines and robotics in agriculture. Among the speakers:
• Prof. Paolo Gay from the University of Turin, who will discuss autonomy and robotics in horticultural production.
• Prof. Łukasz Kaczmarek from the Lodz University of Technology will introduce innovative graphene structures that could revolutionize hydrogen storage for fuel cells, offering new possibilities for electromobility in agriculture.
• Dr. Paweł Konopacki from the Institute of Horticulture-NRI will share research results on apple-picking robots.
• Marcin Janus will present a lecture on unmanned tractors for orchard work.
The conference will conclude with a discussion panel and a summary, allowing participants to exchange experiences and views on the future of technology in horticulture.
Don’t miss this unique event that will provide the latest information on innovations supporting efficiency and sustainable development in horticultural production!
