Groundbreaking Strategies for the Berry Industry

The berry season 2023 was definitely different from the seasons of previous years. Radically different macroeconomic conditions led to a collapse in the market of raspberries intended for processing. Producers of fruit of all berry species had to face rapidly rising production costs, especially labour costs.

We are all aware of the need to introduce new solutions on farms at the agrotechnical, management and sales levels. These should be solutions that enable competition with other entities or countries on the global berry market as well on the domestic market. Do they exist? How can we manage our farms? What to pay attention to regardless of the size of the farm?

We will try to answer these and other questions during the Second TSW 2024 Berry Conference.

During the Berry Conference, two blocks of lectures will be available: the 2nd Raspberry Conference and the 1st Conference – Economics, Management and Marketing in the Berry Sector. The topics of the Raspberry Conference will include species, nutrition and protection. A discussion is also planned on the possibility of introducing mechanical harvesting of raspberries sent for processing. During the second block, we will deal with quality systems, costs that we forget about, subsidies and the sale of berries.
